Autotrader Connect: Autumn Update
The launch of Buying Signals marks a key milestone in our progress to evolving automotive retail on our platform.
As mentioned in our Deal Builder update earlier in the year, we are continuing our investment into the future of automotive retail as we look to scale Deal Builder on our platform. From w/c 17th November we will be launching Buying Signals to all retailers enabling access to unique insights in Portal and in your systems via Autotrader Connect.

How we’re informing retailers
On 05.11.25 we communicated to all retailers about the launch of buying signals and will continue to share more details about how we are evolving retailing on Autotrader throughout the month.
Supporting our tech partners with integrations
A few weeks ago, we hosted a dedicated partner webinar we’re we demonstrated Buying Signals and shared technical details on how partners can complete an integration, as well as potential use cases for your systems.
Scaling Deal Builder and the future of Autotrader
Buying Signals works hand in hand with Deal Builder and provides additional insight into every deal, helping retailers understand what buyers are doing online. To support this, we are continuing to onboard more retailers onto Deal Builder and are working closely with you to enable the Deals API in your systems.

Transitioning from Leads to Deals
We want to remind all partners of the upcoming transition from the Leads API to the new Deals API. This is considered a breaking change and the deadline to complete all migration is 31st March 2026. This is a critical migration and from the 1st of April 2026 the Leads API will be unsupported. Failure to migrate the Leads API to the Deals API will result in a disruption to your service. If you require support or have any questions, please reach out to our Partner team.

We’re constantly working on all the exciting changes coming to our platform over the next few months as we scale Deal Builder and are looking forward to launching Buying Signals w/c 17th November. Buying Signals is available in sandbox from next week and our teams are on hand to support you with your integrations.
